FOR OREGON: Pesticide Training has been approved for 3 Core and 5 Other Credits. Attendees must attend entire training to receive credits.

7:30 – 8:30 A Pre-emergent Herbicide like No Other and Updates Presented by Randy Rider/Syngenta Professional Products Discussion will cover expectations of grassy weed control in residential and commercial landscapes with today’s available herbicides. We also discuss winter and spring fungicide apps as we have seen greater disease outbreaks though out the Willamette Valley.
8:30-9:30 AM New Choices for Landscape Turf Weeds, Disease, and Insect Control Presented by Sarah Brackman / Biosafe Discussion will cover Axxe as a glyphosate alternative, controlling moss and liverwort in a landscape setting, and how to control aphids and grubs in a landscape setting.

10:45–11:45 PM GameOn Herbicide with Arylex, a New Class of Chemistry for Weed Control in Turf. Presented by Frank Santiago/Corteva Introduction of the new active ingredient Arylex and a new formulation of 2,4-D. Will discuss the advantages and efficacy they have on weeds in the Willamette Valley.

12:45-1:45 PM How to Control Weeds Like a Pro and Reduce Labor Costs Too Presented by Mike Sorenson/PBI Gordon Discussion will cover the identification of weeds and pests in turf. By correctly identifying we can reduce resistance and improve control while saving money doing so.
1:45-2:45 PM Getting Tough on Pests While Staying Soft on Pollinators Presented by Andony Melathopoulos How do pesticides impact pollinating insects? Controlling pests and protecting pollinators can coexist. What do the new state and federal regulations tell us?
2:45-3:45 PM New Tools to Control Troublesome Weeds in the Landscapes Presented by Justin Horlacher/Nufarm Americas, Inc. Discussion will introduce Cheetah Pro an alternative to glyphosate. Identification, post-mergent, and pre-emergent herbicide control options for hard to control weeds in the Willamette Valley.
3:45-4:45 PM Bayer Enviromental: Bayer update on pre-emergents, bee friendly insecticide, and broad spectrum fungicide for Ornamentals Presented by Douglas McCullen / Bayer Environmental Pre-emergents where, when, and why. What’s the difference between and root pruning or a shoot inhibiting pre-emergent herbicide. Worried about pollinators? A new insecticide is safe to use around plants when they are foraging. Control those hard to control diseases with a broad spectrum fungicide
